Still having IT band pain. Taped my knee up in the hopes that that would help...not really. Had to stop a few times to stretch out per my friend the PT Tech. Tried to do a little bit of the speedwork...the pain wasn't as intense going faster as it was going slower or when I tried to walk it out. Looks like I might be calling my physician to put in an order for me to see a PT...sigh.

Trading one running pain for another... by nikerunner75 at Garmin Connect - Details
Untitled by nikerunner75 at Garmin Connect - Details
So frustrated! Started hurting a little on Tuesday's run, in my right hip down to the side of my knee. I thought maybe it was a combination of running back to back days (since we knew it was going to rain on Wednesday), still recovering from a hilly 10 mile race, and switching out shoes the day before. I got out this morning to run & didn't even make it 2.5 miles! I've been able to run through my ankle pain or at least walk it out some, but this pain wasn't letting up. It felt like my right leg was a tight string that just kept getting tighter & was more intense at the hip and knee. I stopped to stretch at a light pole & tried to walk it out...nothing helped.
It seems to be one thing after another with me & running! Or am I just getting older? Is it just one of those things that comes with the territory of running? I'm hoping it's not going to develop into some major IT band issues. Been trying to do some stretches & foam rolling for it.
Anyone else going through this? Have any suggestions as to what helps?

It's so hard to say goodbye...
Sitting at the airport in Jamaica & reflecting on another great week! Going back to reality stinks!
One good thing about returning home is it's back to road running...no more "dreadmill" running.
As I'm typing, I hear my favorite Bob Marley song..."Three Little Birds". Love the message..."Don't worry about a thing...'cause every little thing gonna be alright." It's always hard saying goodbye to our Jamaican friends, but there's comfort in knowing I will "soon come" and see their faces again.
I have enough memories of Jamaica & friends to last a lifetime!
Since I slacked on blogging this week, I'll attach a few pics throughout the week.

Day 3 in Beautiful Jamaica
Started the day with Sunrise Yoga on the beach. Very nice. After breakfast, I did water aerobics...my calves are still sore! I think Teco, the fitness instructor, gets pleasure from my pain.
Another great day of enjoying the sunshine!
This evening we went out with friends from the resort, including the above mentioned fitness nazi. (Just kidding Teco, if you're reading this I still love that you kick my butt!) We went to a local Jamaican Jerk restaurant called Scotchies...one of our favorite places to frequent when we visit. Several friends showed up & brought their kids & family. Definitely a good evening.
